Dad was born and grew up in Hue. He led an adventurous life traveling all over Indochina. In his 30s, he was captured by the beauty of a very special lady. He took that lady as his wife and his life revolved around her since. I like to think they had an endless love that lasted 63 years. It is a testament to their love for one another.
A year after their wedding, their first son was born. It was their first experience so the result was... Shortly after, they moved to Dalat. The cold and raining climate contributed to the arrival of 9 other children - at a regular pace.
In 1989, they arrived in Canada. But after a few years they grew weary of the winters. They chose and settled in sunny California. Mum and Dad have proudly enjoyed watching their children grow into responsible adults. They have shared in weddings, the birth of grandchildren, special relationships with their adult children, and accumulated a myriad of memories that were shared together as a family.
On a beautiful, sunny morning, this past Friday, the 11th of April, father continued the journey from this adventurous life on earth to one into the clouds and the winds...
We will miss him dearly, but are so grateful to have had him as a part of our lives as a husband, a father, a grandfather. His presence and influence will continue live within each of us from this day forward.
We love you Dad.
