Peter B. Valdez

Peter, the son of Juan and Andrea Valdez, was born on November 19, 1929 and passed away peacefully on September 20, 2011 surrounded by his family. Peter was born in Douglas, Arizona and moved with his family to the Harbor Area at the age of 10. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a former member of the Banning High Pilots Booster Club, where he attended high school. His late wife, Connie, of 50 years preceded him in death. Peter is survived by his daughters, Victoria Monroe and Yvonne (Arthur) Acosta; son, Robert Valdez; and 4 grandchildren, Dusty, Marie, Phillip and Danielle. He also leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren and 3 siblings. The memorial service for Peter B. Valdez will be on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes.
