Paul Robert "Bob" Wittenbrook, age 87 of Torrance, died Sunday May 17th 2015 in Simi Valley.
He was born May 5th 1928 in Woodsfield, Ohio, son of the late James A. and Edna (Newhart) Wittenbrook.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and served as a volunteer fire chief of Louisville Fire Department in the late 1950's.
Paul and his brother Fred owned and operated the hardware store in Louisville, Ohio for several years.
Paul married his high school sweetheart Delores Iolene "Tiny" Gates in 1951.
They had one daughter, Sheree Dawn, born May 1957.
The family moved to California in 1960.
Paul worked in construction and became a building inspector for the city of Torrance in 1964, where he worked until his retirement in 1992.
Bob and Tiny traveled extensively around the world and always had a broad circle of friends. They were members of the Church of Christ in Torrance for several years.
Bob was a Mason in Monroe County, Ohio and a member of the Elks Club in San Pedro, Ca.
He is survived by his brother Fred of Woodsfield, sister Dorothy of Canton, Ohio, and his daughter Sheree Payton of Simi Valley Ca, along with son-in-law Charles W. Payton, grandson Andrew and granddaughter Karen.
