Patricia L. Saenz was born November 13, 1937 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Her father was John Cruz Silva and her mother was Georgina Amaral. Her mother married Celerino Deleon when they moved to Brooklyn, New York. Patricia is survived by her older sister, Anna C. Crawford and a younger brother John L. Silva. Eventually the family settled in Portsmouth, Virginia. On February 6, 1960 Patricia married her United States Navy Hero Amador G Saenz in North Carolina. They were stationed in the Philippines where her two children were born. Patty Ann was born October 17, 1960 and Christopher was born September 9, 1961. Patricia worked as an Electronic Assembler for many years on the graveyard shift so she could be available for her children during the day. She provided breakfast for them, drove them to school, attended all their school functions and provided a loving home for her family.
Patricia shared a loving and supportive marriage to Amador G Saenz for 65 years. She was very proud of her two children. Patty Ann is an Educator And her son Christopher obtained an MBA from Loyola Marymount. She loved her granddaughters Mia Avila Preclaro, Jennifer Avila London and Blake Morgan Saenz. She embraced her daughter-in-laws Darlene Blanchard Saenz and Christina Callahan and her love for them and their extended family was unconditional.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Not only did she love her two children but her generous and loving heart extended to her nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews. She had a special place in her heart for the Crawford, Silva, Saenz, Bercero, Vallido, Simi. Garcia, Martinez, Olaes, Callahan, Santiago, Estabillo, Referente, Luabena, Esmilla, Trajano and Wild Family.
Patricia was an avid sports fan, She loved her Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Lakers and the Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes. She also enjoyed all types of music especially Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond,Celine Dion, BackStreet Boys and Adele. In her later years she preferred Worship Music. She enjoyed playing family games, watching TV (Hallmark Channel) and movies.
Patricia you had many titles, daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, nana and friend. You will be remembered as an amazing strong woman who loved God. You always were thoughtful, generous, loving and supportive to everyone you met. Your smile and example of unconditional love will be carried on by those whose hearts you have touched.
