Patricia C. Carnnahan

Patricia (Pat) Carnnahan passed away on 3/1/2023 at home in Torrance after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer with her husband, Henry (Hank) Sheehan, and her daughter, Catherine (Cathy) Rasila, and at her bedside.

Pat was named Patricia Carol Andrews when born on February 21, 1942 the daughter of Leslie and Dorothy Andrews in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Pat has one brother, Richard (Rick) Andrews of Saint Mary’s, Ontario, Canada. Pat graduated from High School at 17 and went to work as an Administrative Assistant. She immigrated to Southern California in 1963. In 1968 Pat married Richard Carnnahan and they had a loving marriage of 33 years until he passed away in 2001. In 2005 Pat married Hank Sheehan and they had a wonderful marriage of 17 years.

In her business life, Pat was an Administrative Assistant and a valued Executive Secretary primarily in the insurance business. She finished her career at Keenan and Associates and then
volunteered at the Torrance Chamber of Commerce.

Hank introduced Pat to the joys of ballroom dancing. Pat was a natural and smoothly danced complicated routines making it look beautiful with lovely style.

Pat loved animals and supported the Humane Society. She especially loved cats and always had two or three rescues.

Pat exercised her artistic skills by decorating her house and updating it every year. Pat was accomplished at sewing, creating everything from dance skirts and tops to crinoline dresses for her granddaughters. She also was a skillful costume jewelry maker. Another use of Pat’s creative skills was crocheting baby blankets for needy families.

Pat is predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Dorothy and her husband, Richard Carnnahan.

Pat is survived by her husband, Hank Sheehan; her daughter, Cathy Rasila (husband Jari) of Belle River, Ontario, Canada; brother Rick (Hilda) Andrews: grand children Chelsie (Ryan) Meyer, Daniel (Danielle) MacIlwain, and Dustin MacIlwain; great grand children Maitland, Mathis, Merrick, Morgan, and Mack; step daughter Janice Carnnahan (Brad) Hall of Laguna Nigel and Janice’s children - Danielle, Marissa, Ryan, Alisha and Nathan; step daughter Christine Sheehan (Tim) Doerr and their daughter Annelise; stepson Robert (Kimberly) Sheehan and their sons - Bruce, Gary, Craig and Clint.

Patricia will be interred in Green Hills Cemetery in a private ceremony.

A Celebration of Patricia’s Life will be held on April 20,2023 at Redondo Beach Elks at 1:30 to 4:00 PM. Memories of Pat will be shared starting at about 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to share their stories and memories.
