Life long resident of San Pedro. With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Pamela Marie Bautista. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on January 24, 2022.
The second of 3 siblings, born to the late Henrietta Marie (Truxler) and Ralph Gomes on July 29, 1941. Pamela passed away peacefully on January 24, 2022, surrounded by her family. Our Mother, Nana, Auntie Pam, led a full life of giving, through her volunteering for her children’s activities, helping daily at Little Sisters of the Poor while her mother was in residence, cooking her special meals for family and friends including Preferential Dinners for her son’s Fraternity, Sigma Pi, Loyola Marymount University, as well as many birthdays, holidays and Sunday dinners. Mom/Nana was the matriarch of our family, the “glue”. She loved to cook for all the holidays with her sister, Barbara as her “sous chef”. And never ever bring a dish to a celebration that was not approved by Mom. Mom was strong willed like her father, but as gentle as a calm sea like her mother. We will miss you but will never forget everything you did for us our entire lives. You gave us life and we are forever grateful for all your sacrifices you made to ensure we knew God and Jesus Christ.
Pamela is survived by her brother Ralph Gomes, her children James “Jimmy” (Maribel) Bautista, Christine M. Soto and David A. Bautista. Grand Children Jason (Sophia) Bautista, Amanda (Mike) Bautista, Scott Soto, and Max Bautista. Great Grand Children Aaliyah, Jessiah, Uriah, Kai Bautista, & Ivy Rose Porter. Predeceased by her mother and father, sister, Barbara Curci and niece Carmela Curci.
Pamela was employed at Little Company of Mary Hospital for 35 years and retired having achieved a great career as the Accounting Manager.
A celebration honoring her life of our mom, Nana, Auntie Pam, and friend will be announced at a later date.
Remembrances can be sent to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 2100 S. Western Ave, San Pedro, CA 90731
