Oscar Marcos Zermeno Jr., born December 5, 1953, died April 23, 2013, born in Bronx, New York. Oscar was a San Pedro Pilot Newspaper carrier for many years. Also, was an Eagle Scout for the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated San Pedro High School in 1971. He attended Los Angeles Harbor College. He continued his education at U.S. Maritime Academy in Vallejo. With the training ship The Golden Bear, Oscar traveled to many exotic and foreign places. He graduated in 1976 and immediately went to work on super tankers ships station out of the Gulf of Mexico. He traveled all over the world. He was a first class Navel officer. After he left the service he went to work for Airport Escort. He worked there for many years until he retired in 2011. Survived by his loving sister Rosemarie Zermeno, his nephew Will Gorrie of San Diego. Many thanks to the Silva family and Kim family.
