Oscar Ramirez Banuelos

Oscar R Bañuelos was a man who lived a full life. He was born in San Pedro, California on July 24, 1955 to Anna and Nicholás Bañuelos. He well known and for some of you, know him as "Calí-Calí" and a.k.a. "Chí-Cho"

Oscar peacefully passed away on April 18th, 2023. Growing up, Oscar was a fun-loving child who enjoyed playing with his 12 brothers and 1 sister, and with the neighborhood children. He had a zest for life with partying, dancing, his music, and visiting everyone. Oscar loved Wilmington and the town of Wilmington loved him back. Oscar worked for multiple jobs such as; the Canneries, Long Beach airport, Local #11 Union Construction, and did numerous amounts of handyman jobs around the community of Wilmington.

Oscar was fearless, independent, strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined Oscar. They were part of who he was and his strength undoubtedly helped him to deal with life's challenges. Oscar was always giving his treasures to others and would help you out if you ever needed him. Oscar enjoyed riding his bike around the town.

Oscar is survived by his son Marcus. His brothers; Art Bañuelos, Jaime Bañuelos (Elizabeth), Henry Bañuelos (Roxanne), Richard Bañuelos (MaryAnn), Anna Marie Bañuelos, Steve Bañuelos, Benjamin Bañuelos, Robert Bañuelos, Alejandro Bañuelos (Arlene), & David Bañuelos and his nieces and nephews. And those who preceded in death; his father Nicholás Bañuelos, his mother Anna Bañuelos, and his beloved brothers; Nicholás Bañuelos Jr. and Ernie Morales. He will be greatly missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him.
