Olga Isabel Esparza

June 21, 1927 — June 1, 2014

Olga passed away June 1, 2014 at her
home in Carson, California with all of her family at her bedside. She would have been 87 years of age on June 21, 2014. Her parents were Antonio and Maria
Dominguez and had 2 brothers, Joe (deceased) and Rene. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, moved to Flagstaff, Arizona and lived there in her early years.
In 1936, her family went to Spain to visit
relatives. From 1936 to early 1941, the family lived in Spain, Portugal, France and England. In 1941, she and her older brother returned to Flagstaff, Arizona to live with their uncle who owned a Spanish Basque boarding house for Basque sheep men. The uncle sold his boarding house and they moved to San Pedro in 1944.
In 1946, she met her next door neighbor Arnold Esparza. They were married November 23, 1947 in Long Beach, California. They had a wonderful life being together for 66 years of marriage.
She worked at Fort MacArthur (office) at the end of World War II and then she went to work for the L.A. City School System for 20 years. In her retirement years, she and her husband Arnold were Motor Home Travelers for 31 years. In that time they visited almost every state in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. She leaves her loving husband of 66 years, Arnold, her son, Mike (Debbie), daughter, Linda (Ron), 4 grandchildren: Rachel (Jimmy), Jeremie (Michele), Jason (Sarbie), Tommy (Rocio), Emily (Erik); 7 great grandchildren: Jordan, Haley, Madylyn, Jacob, Jason Jr., Alyssa and Adrian along with her nephew, Joe Dominguez.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and she will surely be missed by all her family and friends. She will live in our memories of her forever. God Bless Her.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00am in Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
