Norman "Ed" Robertson

Norman Edward Robertson, the son of Ted and Bessie Robertson, passed away on May 24, 2015 at the age of 89. He was born in Oklahoma on April 16, 1926 and was a longtime resident of Downey, California.
Ed loved to fish and golf. He was a warm, caring and compassionate man, beloved by his children and grandchildren. He loved all kids and "always played with us" his niece recalled.
Ed loved sports, especially the Oklahoma Sooners and the St. Louis Cardinals. He coached baseball, basketball and football for all three of his sons, and attended as many events as he could for his granddaughters as well.
He had a green thumb and loved his garden, roses in particular.. Ed was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Downey.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Robertson, children, Steven (Deborah) Robertson, Bobby (Linda) Robertson, Scott (Toni) Robertson, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Green Hills Mortuary Friday, May 29th 5pm - 8pm.
Funeral service will be held at North Downey Church of Christ, Saturday, May 30th at 11am, followed by Graveside service at Green Hills Memorial Park at 3pm.
