Norma Jane Woelp

Died June 18, 2015 at her home in Torrance, California. Norma was born in Inglewood, California in 1933. She was the daughter of William and Izetta Woelp and was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marguerite Woelp.

Norma was a graduate of George Washington High School, and Pepperdine University, where she majored in education. She was employed by Los Angeles Unified School District, serving at 95th Street Elementary, Point Fermin Elementary, and 232nd Street Elementary before retiring in 1988.

Norma was a member of Branch of Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Torrance and was an active participant in Ladies of Hope. She helped with the coordination of greeters at the church for Sunday services. Norma was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

A graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Branch of Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Torrance or to your favorite charity.
