Noemi S. Franco

Noemi Franco, "Nana", 83, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by her family at her home on February 28, 2015. She is survived by her children, Irene (John) Towers, Emma Skinner, Robert (Gerri) Franco, and Esther (Larry) Bousquet; her 8 grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Bousquet , John James (Laura) Towers, Kenneth Bousquet, Richard Franco, Chris Franco, Eric Towers, Robert Franco, and Autumn Skinner; 4 great-children, Alyssa Bousquet, Emily Bousquet, Cameron Bousquet, and John Jackson Towers. She was preceeded in death by her husband of sixty years, Genaro Franco, and her son, Arthur Franco. Noemi was a life-long resident of San Pedro. She loved to be surrounded by children, evident by her work at 15th St. Elementary School as a bilingual teacher's aide. Her greatest joy and legacy were her children and grandchildren. She loved them dearly and was very proud of their every accomplishment. She took great joy in attending their many activities. Well known in San Pedro for her cooking skills, her traditional Christmas tamales will be greatly missed. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, March 5th from 3-8 p.m. at Green Hills Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, March 6th at 9:00 a.m. at Green Hills Chapel.
