Nevenka Roman

Nevenka Roman was born on July 1, 1940 and passed away on June 10, 2017 at age 76.

Born in Zirje, Croatia, she was the daughter of Jerko and Ljubica Bilan. She had a brother Ivo and sister Svetinka. She married our father Karlo Roman on April 28, 1965 and became a widow in 1974.

Mom spent many years working at LA Unified School District as a cafeteria worker at many schools in San Pedro where she met many lifelong friends.

My mother was a kind woman with a gentle soul who loved to cook and make sure everybody was happy.

She is survived by son Robert, daughter Debra Roman(Valles) and family, nieces and nephews in Croatia and her beloved pit bull terrier Taisho.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 9:00AM at Green Hills Memorial Park with internment immediately following the service.

Viewing/Visitation will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park on Friday June 16, 2017 from 3:00 PM – 8:00PM.
