Natalie Williams

August 6, 1993 — May 8, 2018

Natalie was born August 6, 1993, in San Pedro, California, to Bill and Bonita Williams. She resided in the city of Cerritos. She attended Wittman Elementary School and Tetzlaff Middle School. As a freshman, she attended Artesia High School and continued her high school education at Saint Anthony High School. During her middle and high schools years, Natalie participated on Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), basketball teams such as the Long Beach Lady Warriors, Olympic Girls Development League (OGDL) and the California Storm. She also was an integral part of the varsity girl’s basketball teams of Artesia and Saint Anthony High Schools. Not only did Natalie participate in basketball, she was a cheerleader, and played several years of AYSO soccer. In addition to being an outstanding athlete, Natalie was an exceptional student and excelled academically.

After graduating from Saint Anthony, Natalie continued her education at Cal State University Fullerton on a full basketball scholarship. She was an excellent Titan team member and is on the top 10 list of shot blockers in Cal State Fullerton Women’s basketball history. Natalie graduated from Cal State Fullerton, May 2015, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She went on to work at the Challengers Boys and Girls Club and as a volunteer intern for the John Wooden Award Committee as well as the athletic department of Cal State Fullerton.

Natalie continued her post graduate education and prior to her death was in the master’s candidate program at the University of San Francisco.

Natalie was an avid book reader. Her idea of having fun was spending an evening at Barnes and Noble. As a matter of fact, she cried when the Cerritos Barnes and Noble closed. She also kept herself in outstanding shape by maintaining a rigorous workout schedule. Additionally, Natalie enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.

Natalie was a loving, caring, and elegant person. She was always willing to help a person in need. Natalie’s heart spoke volumes. In church, it was not uncommon for her to sit with the one who was alone, as she never wanted anyone to feel isolated. She was quietly graceful and very poised. She had a tender heart, yet she was strong; and her smile would light up any room.

Natalie was a member of Tabernacle Community Church since birth. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and loved volunteering at various church activities.

Natalie leaves behind, her father and mother; Bill and Bonita Williams, her sisters; Mollie, Stephanie, and her brother Bill Junior. Natalie also leaves behind a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and loving friends.
