Nadine Mitsuko Koyama passed away peacefully on the evening of February 7, 2020, at home with her family at her side. She was in bed resting and her last moments were happy before she left this world. Nadine was born on September 10, 1969 in Inglewood, CA to Warren and May Oda. She was raised in Torrance in a family of four and was very close to her sister Sue-Ann. She attended Gardena Valley Christian School, followed by North High School.
Nadine met her husband, Yuki Koyama, through Yuki’s brother in the early 90's. They dated for over a decade before marrying on May 18, 2003 in Maui at Napili Kai, one of Nadine's favorite places to be. On May 12, 2004, they were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Shelby Satsuki Kailani. Their relationship would grow to be more than mother and daughter, they were the best of friends and a tight-knit family of three. Nadine was a travel agent for International Executravel, and she enjoyed hula, cooking, having pot luck gatherings with friends, fishing, country music, visiting Maui, and shopping. She was caring, always ready to help others, and a great listener. She also had a wonderful sense of humor with her quiet demeanor and when she smiled, it was genuine and beautiful.
Nadine was preceded in death by her mother, May. She is survived by her husband, Yuki, her daughter Shelby, her father Warren Oda, her sister Sue-Ann Nouchi, and brother-in-law Wesley Nouchi. She will be forever remembered by her mother-in-law Fumiko Koyama, brother-in-law Yasuo (Vanessa) Koyama, aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.
