Mo-Ling Mary Goon

Mo-Ling Mary Goon was a caring wife, mother, sister, niece and friend. She left this world suddenly on May 19, 2021, at the age of 57.

She was born to Yueng Mei Eddie and Wai Ching (Wong) Goon in Hong Kong on November 5, 1963. They emigrated to the US in 1967 and settled in Boston. Mary graduated from Boston Latin School and completed her Bachelor's degree at Barnard College. After graduating from college, Mary moved to California for work. She enjoyed showing friends and family around town whenever they would come to visit and always made sure they had a good time.

Mary was a devoted mother to her son, Andrew, and would beam with pride whenever she would talk about him. Her cheerful attitude, bright smile, wit and humor will be missed.

Mary is survived by her husband, Juan Pacheco, and their one son, Andrew. Mary is also survived by her sister, Laura Goon and her husband Domenic Fruci and their son Matthew, her sister Sophie Toy and her husband Ken and their children Ashley and Jason, her brother Ted Goon, her sister Jeannie Goon, her niece Jocelyn McCarthy, her aunt De Qing Feng and family, her aunt Jeannie Wong, her uncle Tommy Wong, her uncle William Wong and his wife Carrie and their children Bryant and Tiffany. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Goon.

A Remembrance Viewing for family is scheduled for 9:30am to 1:30pm on June 23, 2021 at the Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. It will be followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm for family and friends.
