Millie was a hard-working, caring individual who would always be there to help her family. She learned the value of a dollar at a young age and had a great work ethic instilled in her because of her work on the farm, even though she didn’t like harvest season. She was very close to her family growing up but because of finances she had to move to California. It was there that Mille and Jerry continued to grow their family that has grown into a “village” of over 60 kids, grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids. She was married to Jerry for 51 amazing years.
She was born on November 12, 1929, in Nebraska to Clarence and Inez Knoles. Millie passed away on August 25, 2024.
She had five children, Linda, Jane, Eileen, Jerry, and Karen with husband, Jerry Leonhardt.
She would enjoy going to the local establishment to play shuffleboard with family and friends. She has been to countless birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, baby showers, and graduations all to show her support and love to her family. And of course we couldn’t forget the fond memories we shared celebrating Christmas Eve with the family; a tradition that lasted over 50 years.
Millie is preceded in death by her husband Jerry, her mother, Inez, her father, Clarence, her sisters, Anna and Lola, her brother, Clarence and her children, Eileen and Karen.
