Mildred Marie Jenkins

Mildred Marie Jenkins, 1919-2012 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on her 93rd birthday, February 13th. Millie, also known as Skip to her family, will be deeply missed. She is predeceased by her loving husband David. A long time resident of Palos Verdes, Millie belonged to a number of bridge groups which she greatly enjoyed. She was a past member and officer of the Rolling Hills Estates Womens' Club, a member of the PV Republican Womens' Club, a life long member of Eastern Star and a former employee of the Palos Verdes Central Library. She was also a volunteer at the local Farmer's Market where she made many friends including a special needs child who delighted in seeing her every Sunday. Millie was a warm and compassionate person and was proud of her Czech heritage. She was very close to her two sisters, Georgiana and Bess and her twin brother Andy. When she was with them, there was much laughter and happy memories. Survivors include daughter Carol Schenasi and her husband Craig of Palos Verdes, her son Dale Jenkins of Newport Beach, her grandchildren, David, Denise and Eric Schenasi and extended family and many friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the caregivers at Belmont Village.
