Mildred Gilbertson

MILDRED "MILLIE" L. GILBERTSON, 87, passed away on March 4th at Promise hospital. She was the wife of Robert Gilbertson and they shared 69 amazing years of marriage.
Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1929- she was the daughter of Bill and Jane Rogie. She completed an secretary course at the local business academy. She later worked for over 20 years as the office secretary at the San Pedro company of Coyle & Associates.
She was a proud member of various charities such as WWF (World Wildlife Fund), Wounded Warrior and American Red Cross. She loved nature & animals, gardening, bowling and crafts. She will always be remembered for being strong and feisty, her wonderful wisdom and talent with words.
She is survived by her devoted husband Bob Gilbertson; children John Gilbertson in Long Beach, Greg Gilbertson in the state of Oregon, and Sara Gilbertson in Moreno Valley; grandchildren Jenny, Amanda, Maddie, Katy, and Sophie; great grandchildren Luke, Bobby, Brooklyn, Elora, Ruby and Griffin.
The services will be held Friday, March 17, 2017. All services will be at the Green Hills Memorial Park at 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275. The viewing will be held in the Villetta Room from 9am to 1pm, with the graveside service following at 2pm. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to World Wildlife Fund: 1250 24th Street NW, Washington, DC 20037.
