Mary was a lifelong resident of Palos Verdes. She and her husband moved to Palos Verdes in the 1950's, when most of the Peninsula was wide open fields. With the
exception of Lunada Bay and Malaga Cove, Shopping was done off "the Hill" She taught her oldest sons to drive on the dirt roads that are now the Peninsula Center. Mary is a founding member of Mount Olive Luthuran Church in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Before moving to southern California, Mary grew up in San Fransisco where she and her Mother were among the first people to walk across the Golden Gate bridge on opening day.
Mary moved to Texas to be near her brother Paul Williams, while in texas she met her future husband

Soon after they moved to Southern California where Tex became a partner in the Nahas department store chain. At one time the largest Jr. Department store group in California. ·
Mary loved Palos Verdes. She was a member of many womens clubs, and had her famous Golden Girl
group. Life was good, raising her children there, enjoying the beautiful views of Catalina. Mary
was a Pisces and always loved living by the ocean.
Old age is difficult, as Mary would say-"old age is not for sissys"
