Mary Elizabeth Tamburovich "Pebby"

Mary "Pebby" Tamburovich passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Noel; parents Mary & Frank Acalin, son Marty, great-granddaughter Valentina Marie Hernandez and sister Jean Wilder. She is survived by her daughters Noel (Matt) Vuoso and Vivian (Dragan) Pesic; grandchildren Emily (Leo) Hernandez, Brandon (Jill) Pesic, Elisabeth Vuoso and Erin Pesic (Fiancé Jay Elliott); great-grandchildren Daniela Hernandez, and Holly & Tommy Pesic. Pebby was born and raised in San Pedro. She attended Cabrillo Elementary, Dana and graduated from SPHS. She attended Compton College then worked for Pacific Bell in downtown L.A. Shortly after getting married on Valentine's Day in 1953, she traded in her career and dedicated her life to that of a wife and mother which was full and rewarding. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Raquel Ramos for her loving and compassionate care for the last 4 years of mom's life. Services will be held at Green Hills Chapel on January 9, at 2:00 pm, with burial to follow.
