Mary Theresa Sharp

Mary T. Reitz Sharp, long time resident of Rancho Palos Verdes, passed away on Friday, March 31.
Born on June 17, 1925 in Nebraska, one of twelve children born to Henry and Elizabeth Reitz. She married Jay T. Sharp in 1944 and remained married to him for 68 years, until his passing in 2012. She worked for the Naval Shipyard in Long Beach as a civilian.
Mary was a volunteer for many years at the Peck Park Senior Center, and Little Sisters of the Poor. She loved crafting, playing cards with her family, traveling and had a wonderful smile and laugh that could light up a room.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jay, and her daughter Loretta Sanders. She is survived by her daughters Peggy Inferrera and Monica Nickerson, son Greg Sharp; and her grandchildren Gia Jordahl, Stephanie Sherer, Keith Arthur, Deva Wright, Dawn Koepke, Brandon Sanders, Jessica Nickerson and Kael Sharp.
Mary will be remembered on Wednesday, April 5th at Green Hills Mortuary at 2 pm.
