Mary F Sanders

Mary Francis Williams was born on October 11, 1935 to Leonard Williams and Lillian Culpepper, and raised in Sheridan, Arkansas. Here she met Walter Lee Sanders, where they courted, grew together, and wed on November 13, 1953. Walt and Mary moved to California in 1955 where they raised 3 children, Teresa Ann, Roger Dale, and Diana Lynn.

In 1965 Walter and Mary begin attending Crenshaw Baptist Church where they both served God with open and loving hearts, and where they begin the long, loving journey of bringing both family members and friends to know, love, and serve Christ. No matter if it was sitting in the pew as a family, acting as church secretary, assisting with MOMs, or making amazing food for whatever event was scheduled, Mary was always proud to be called a Child and Servant of God. God did not just call her to serve in church, she worked in the machinery industry for a time and was the definition of a Godly wife and mother: taking care of the home, always putting God first, and family was of utmost importance to her.

Mary Francis Sanders passed away from this life on October 17, 2023, at the age of 88, while surrounded by her loving family. Mary is preceded in death by husband, Walter Lee, and one great-granddaughter. Mary is survived by two daughters, one son, and their spouses, 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; who will all miss her dearly.
