Mary Luna

Our beautiful mother Mary went home to be with Jesus on October 17th, 2018. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in San Pedro, California on August 23, 1938 and was a lifetime resident.

She worked as a dietary supervisor at San Pedro Hospital for many years and made such a positive impact on so many people’s lives.

Mary loved her family and friends. She also loved her Dodgers and loved traveling to the casinos.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe "Pepe" Luna, daughters, Becky, Brenda, Tina, Terri (Falo) Tiumalu, son, Joseph "Baba" (Deana) Luna, siblings, Jovie Diaz, Tony Meraz, and Connie Medina, Grandchildren, Jennifer (Brandon), Anthony (Michelle), Raquel, Joshua, Ruben, Jacqueline, Candice, Julie, Aaron, Tianna, Lyric, and Falo, great-grandchildren, Mia, Arjay, Brandon, Mason, Brayden, Cash, Jaden, and two on the way. She is preceded in death by her sister Mona Carranza and brother Felix Meraz.

Viewing will be held from 4:30pm to 8:30pm with a Vigil at 6:30pm to 7:30pm, Monday, October 29th, 2018 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel. Memorial Services will be held 11:30am to 12:30pm on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
