Mary R. Iacono

Mary went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 9, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born on May 18, 1936 to Giovanni and Nunziata Iacono. She was a lifetime resident of San Pedro, a graduate of Mary Star of the Sea High School, class of 1954. She was president of Holy Trinity Better Half Seniors for many years, volunteered with Little Sisters of the Poor, docent at Point Fermin Lighthouse and was a member of the Peck Park Seniors and Italian Catholic Federation. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Husband, Anthony, her parents and brothers, Michael and Richard. She is survived by her beloved sons, James (Cathy), John (Amy), Sean (Kelly), Michael, Gerald (Deanne), John (Roni), 20 grandchildren, two great grandsons, sister in law, Cecilia Iacono and brother in law, Frank Scognamillo. She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends and family that she loved dearly. A visitation will be held 4:30pm - 8:30pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Green Hills Memorial Chapel and a funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Thursday, June 14th at 11am. Mary will be interred next to her husband at Green Hills Memorial Park.
