Mary Elizabeth Fletcher, a long time resident of Palos Verdes Estates passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord, September 16th, 2017 in Torrance, California.
Mary Elizabeth Fletcher (Rhodes) was born May 17, 1940 in Tennessee to Ohlen and Truma Rhodes. She attended school in Collegedale and eventually traveled to California to attend Loma Linda University. While working for TRW, she met the love of her life Edward Theodore Fletcher Jr, they were wed in 1967. They were married for 46 years until his passing in 2014.
All that knew Mary will remember her sense of humor, enthusiasm for travel and her love of roses. Mary had a passion for music and was known for both her skill on the piano and her perfect pitch. She was a talented interior designer and was known to all as a savvy businesswoman. Active in charity, Mary was also an avid member of the PEO and Assistance League.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ohlen and Truma Rhodes; husband, Edward Fletcher Jr; son in law, Jon Freel and Sister in law Pam Rhodes.
Mary is survived by her 2 children and 2 grandchildren; daughter Elizabeth Fletcher Freel (Jon), son Edward Theodore Fletcher III (Tiffany), and grandsons Oliver Maxwell Fletcher (9) and Lucas Edward Fletcher (5). Mary is survived by one brother, James Ohlen Rhodes (Pam), sister Ruth Ann Reynolds (Dean) and four nieces and two nephews.
