Marjorie G. Negrete

Marjorie Velando Gonzales Negrete was born on July 2, 1945 in Palawan, Philippines to Napoleon and Felisa Gonzales. She passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday May 10, 2012 in Lawndale, California from ovarian cancer. She graduated from the Zamboanga General School of Nursing at 19 years old and became a dedicated registered nurse for over 40 years. She retired as an R.N. from Kaiser Permanente, Harbor City to a dedicated 30 years of service. She is considered to be a modern local south bay woman with a gravitational and enthusiastic personality. She embodied confidence and leadership while maintaining her classy lady persona. She undoubtedly remains and always identified herself as a devoted mother first and foremost to her three surviving children, Marvin, Mark and Marissa Negrete. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00pm on Wednesday May 16, 2012 at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00am at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach.
