Marjorie J. Lombardo

Our precious Marjorie died on Sunday morning, July 28th. She was 92 years old. Marjorie was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on February 13, 1921 to Hubert and Edna Krepsky. In 1948, she moved from Wisconsin to California with her husband and two small children, Nancy and Richard. In 1959, she married Ralph Lombardo. They were blessed with a loving marriage for 40 years. She is preceded in death by her brother, Gordon, her daughter, Nancy Pruden (DeSmidt) and her husband, Ralph Lombardo. She is survived by her son, Richard DeSmidt (Mary), her grandson, Todd DeSmidt (Kris) her great granddaughter, Erika DeSmidt and many wonderful friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Ascension Lutheran Church, 17910 S. Prairie Ave., Torrance, CA 90504 on Aug. 13th at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Green Hills cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the scholarship fund at Ascension Lutheran School (Prairie Ave. address). Marjorie was a remarkable woman of faith. We miss her presence and her love, but we are certain she lives now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
