Marianne Ruiz

Marianne G. Ruiz (Main) passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023, in Los Lunas, New Mexico at the age of 79.

Born on March 12, 1943, in San Pedro, California, Marianne spent her younger years in the South Bay Area and was a Southern California native until she relocated to New Mexico in 2007.

Marianne was a member of the Catholic community and loved by family and friends. She was a strong, independent woman, a huge fan of soap operas and an avid bingo player. Family will fondly remember her beautiful smile, very “fancy” handwriting, her love for any shade of purple, wearing big hoop earrings and anything to do with Tom Jones, Elvis Presley and Betty Boop! Marianne is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Frances Main and sister, Patricia Pfholman.

She is survived by daughters, Lisa Hughes and Kristina Collins; sons, Richard Ruiz and Joe Yanez; brothers, Tony and Richard Main; as well as 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 2, 5:00-8:30pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm; funeral and graveside services will begin at 11:30am on Friday, March 3, all at Green Hills, Rancho Palos Verdes.
