Marian Pappalardo

February 27, 1921 — December 18, 2016

Marian Amorelli Pappalardo (Nana, Gigi) passed away Sunday December 18, 2016 at the age of 95. She was deeply loved and will always be in our hearts. She was born in Tampa, FL in 1921 to Pietro and Bessie Amorelli. She moved to California and was married for 60 years to Joe Pappalardo. They eventually moved to the bluff in South Shores where they raised her three children. In 1973, they moved to Rolling Hills Estates.

She was such an amazing, spirited woman who loved life. She always thought positively and always had a big smile on her face. She loved her family with all her heart. She had many talents including playing the piano, arts and crafts, seamstress, bookkeeping for 40 years, interior design, making porcelain dolls, gold leafing and flower arranging. She loved to read, especially anything on health and nutrition. She spoke fluently in three languages. Her life was full of activities. She will be deeply missed by us all.

She is survived by her three children, Joyce Galletti Onorato (Frank), Jean Goza (Dave), Dr. Al Pappalardo (Sharon); and 5 granddaughters, Gina Galletti (Rob), Christina Galletti, Natalie Goza Hummel (Jeff) Nicole Everett (Dave), Alexandra Pappalardo; and great granddaughters, Hailey Everett, Summer Everett and Violet Hummel.
