Maria Elena Ibarra

Maria Elena Ibarra, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, niece, cousin and friend passed away January 10, 2021. Malena will always be remembered for her kind heart and love for family. She loved wholly, with all her heart and without judgement. Malena opened her home to anyone that needed a place to stay and became known as the taxi lady because of her willingness to give anyone a ride to wherever they needed to go, never expecting anything in return. Malena had a beautiful voice, making birthdays extra special by serenading you with a special birthday song. Malena met her husband in Harbor City where they lived and raised their children for 37 years, later moving to Apple Valley. Malena was predeceased by her parents, Carlos and Lupe Ornelas, and granddaughter Selina. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert, her children, Laura, Sonya (Jose Juan), Sophia, Valerie (Stewart) and Jose (Brandy), and her grandchildren, Javier, Lianna, Joe, JoAnna, Richard, Eulises, Anthony, Daisy, Roy, Jacob, Samantha, Zoe, Max, Victor, Matthew, Emma, Sofia, and Zachery. Her great grandchildren, Adrian, Savannah, Christopher, Dominic, Charlotte, Noah, Julian, and Marley. Her siblings, Lupe, Irene, Carlos, Chay, Sergio and Javier. We are going to miss her daily calls and messages, always checking up on us to make sure everyone was okay. We now have an angel in heaven watching over us. Love You, Mom.
