Maria Luz Cardenas Arredondo

Maria Luz Cardenas Arredondo, of Corona, CA passed away February 8, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born on May 30, 1938 in Tizapan el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. She immigrated from Mexico in 1970 and resided in California until her passing.

She worked hard to support her family. Working at Star Kist Canneries and then as a Cosmetologist, owning her own beauty salon.

She was an active and beloved member of her Church, St. Oscar Romero Catholic Church. She was also a member of “Cursillos de Cristiandad, San Bernardino. She loved volunteering with her many friends, “in Jesus name”.
Maria Luz will always be remembered for her love for family and friends, her kind heart and her contagious smile. She was “one of a kind”

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Juan Arredondo, her daughter Lourdes Simmons (Dickie), sons Jorge Cardenas (Josefina), Agustin Cardenas, and Alex Cardenas (Malina), step-kids Diana Ramos (Del) Johnny Arredondo (Elvia)
19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous “adopted grandkids”. Proceeded in death by her son Cesar Cardenas in 1989.

Funeral services will be held on March 26, 2021 at Green Hills Memorial Park.
