Margaret Anne (Sharp) Inferrera, 79, of Rancho Palos Verdes, passed away peacefully on November 10. 2024. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, “Peggy” will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and deep love of family.
Born on February 11, 1945, in Genoa, Nebraska, to parents Jay and Mary (Reitz) Sharp, she was the eldest of four children, Gregory, Monica (Sharp) Nickerson, and Loretta (Sharp) Sanders, who preceded her siblings and parents in death in 1990.
Her family moved to Southern California in the 50’s, and she remained there most of her life. She met her future husband, Anthony Frank Inferrera, through a mutual friend. “Tony” and Peggy married at Holy Trinity Church in San Pedro, in 1968. Tony (his son Tad) and Peggy welcomed two daughters, Gia and Deva, to the family.
Peggy spent countless hours volunteering or supporting the family in football and cheerleading, Girl Scouts, theater activities, gymnastics, and more.
Peggy enjoyed travelling, cooking, sewing, crafts of all sorts, spending time with family and friends, genealogy, playing cards; and maybe most of all, hosting and entertaining.
She graduated from Mary Star of the Sea in 1963. In her life she worked as a hair model, a beautician, interior designer, and a merchandise buyer for both the Assistance League Gift Shop in San Pedro, and the South Coast Botanic Garden.
She will be remembered for kindness, welcoming nature, and generosity. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Tony Inferrera, daughters Gia (Cary) Jordahl, Deva (Dan) Wright, son Tad (Mary) Inferrera, and grandchildren Elyse, Sarah and Katelyn Inferrera.
A public service will be held at the Green Hills Memorial Chapel on November 20th from 2:00pm - 3:00pm.
