Margaret “JANE” Early (Weller) passed away in her home on July 16, 2019.
Jane was born March 31, 1927 in Burbank, CA and spent her childhood in Meadville, PA. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother, and a resident of San Pedro since 1940. She was preceded in death by husband, George Early, brother Robert “Bob” Weller, mother Margaret “Peg” Weller and father Robert Weller.
She is survived by her son Brent Early, daughter Gayle Early, grandchildren Steven Early and Nicole Ragland (Early) and half-sister Mari Bouchard (Weller).
While attending San Pedro High School, Jane played trumpet in the marching band. She attended Woodbury College, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration with Major in Higher Accountancy. Together with her friends, they lived in the “Madhouse” while attending college. After marrying George in 1948, she was primarily a homemaker, excelling as a seamstress designing some of her own wardrobe. Jane and George had a large circle of friends and were a big part of the South Bay/Long Beach Prudential Insurance groups hosting many parties over the years. Jane also worked for local insurance agencies after her family was grown. She was an active member of the SP Republican Women Federated and volunteered in the past for the Assistance League and SP Hospital Bookworm Guild.
We loved and will miss our Mom (Grandma), just as we miss our Dad (Grandpa), so God wrap your arms around Jane and George.
Service will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 at 11:30 am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel, 27501 South Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes.
