Manuel Rafael Perez

Manuel “Manolo” Rafael Perez was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He passed away on December 24, 2023 at age 85. He was born to Rafael and Gabriela Perez on November, 3 1938 in Sagua la Grande, Cuba. After exiling to the United States in 1966 at the age of 27 he settled in Torrance, CA where he enjoyed a long and accomplished career at American Honda Company serving for 36 years.
Preceded in death by his wife and dear friend, Maria. Loving father of Albert, George and Carlos. Proud grandfather of Sara, Ali, Kai, Anthony, Brandon, Ocean, Martina and Coral. Brother of Carmen, Francisco and the late Pepe Perez Manolo loved spending time with family and especially his grandchildren. He loved attending there many sporting events and taking them on his weekly Costco shopping trips. He loved to read, especially the LA Times and Daily Breeze daily. He had a love for Baseball and the Angels ballclub making sure his son and grandkids grew to love the sport and team. He was selfless man, always giving and helping those in needs but never expecting anything in return. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:30 am on January 18, 2023 at Green Hills.
