Manuel R. "Nick" Aguirre

October 23, 1919 — May 28, 2016

Manuel Ralph "Nick" Aguirre was born in San Pedro, California on October 23, 1919 and passed peacefully in the same home that he was born and raised in, on May 28th, 2016. Nick served in the United States Army Cavalry as well as in the 805th Army Marine Ship Repair division from 1941, having been honorably discharged on January 6th, 1946. Nick later went on to work for and retire from, the Long Beach Naval Shipyard as a refrigeration Mechanic.

On July 25th 1946, he married the love of his life, Mary Lou Aranda. Nick was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Together, he and Mary Lou raised 5 beautiful children, 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren with twins on the way. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou, children, Rebecca, (Donald), Dein, Suzanne Sansbury, Manuel "Nick" (Mary Ann), Aguirre, Francine, (John), Aproda, Felicia, (Michael), Butler, grandchildren, Melissa, Julie, Kimberly, Kristin, Edward, Rick, Joseph, Jeffery, Jeremy, Jenifer, Jacob, Lori, Trisha, Aleah, Brianna and Reina. Nick was preceded in death by his brothers Frank, Joe and Louie Aguirre as well as son-in-law Harold Sansbury.

Services will be held in Rancho Palos Verdes at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel on June 13th, 2016 at 12:00 pm.
