Magdaleno "Chito" Galvan Jr.
Our precious Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and Friend returned to God's embrace on June 12, 2017, after a brief illness.
Chito was born to Magdaleno and Concepcion Galvan on December 13, 1927. He was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, Ca. He honorably served his country in the United States Army for two years, within the country of Germany. Upon his discharge, he married the "Girl next door." He was employed by the USPS and after 30 years of service, his loyalty to his mail route is still recalled by the community of Wilmington. After retiring, he joined his comrades in serving as the Commander at the VFW Post No. 2967, "The Best little Post on the West Coast." He was a loving man and welcomed all into his home. His love for God, great food and Latin music, has been lovingly passed down to his family.
Chito leaves behind to rejoin him at God's will, his loving wife of 61 years Carmen Galvan, daughter Sofia, his three sons, Edward, Mark and Ernie Galvan, daughter in laws, Malinda, Avelina and Nancy, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
