Madeline D. Spinosa

Madeline Spinosa of San Pedro, passed away at the age of 101, peacefully at her home, on October 15, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on May 23, 1911 in New York and moved to California in 1941 with her husband and two children. Madeline worked for UCB as a chief teller for 30 years and was a talented concert pianist. The passions of her life were her husband and family. She will always be remembered for her hospitality, Sunday dinners, family card games and trips to Las Vegas. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, matriarch of the family, and an inspiration to all who shared her life. Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Bob (the love of her life), siblings, Frank Talercio, Mary Castaldi, Carmela Scognamillo and Josephine Tedesco. She is survived by her sons, Vincent (Pat), and James (Betty), grandchildren, Madeline (David) Jackson, Lloyd (Cory) Krien, Jim Spinosa, Valerie Fleming (James), Natalie Spinosa, Cliff Johnson, Mike (Sari) Johnson and Sue (Mike) Sestich; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday 3pm to 8pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm at Green Hills Mortuary. Rosary prayer service will be held Sunday at 7pm at Green Hills Memorial Chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 22, 2012, 10:30 am at Mary Star of the Sea Church with entombment to follow.
