Lynne Mae Morris(72 years old) August 8, 1939 – April 4, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce her peaceful passing of our mother, sister, friend and companion. The angels came to take her home to the Lord on Wednesday April, 4th, following a period of declining strength and health to her cancer. She was born in Cambridge Massachusetts. Daughter of the late Leroy and Helen Johnston, who had lived in Arlington Massachusetts. She moved to California in 1958. She met and married her Husband Bill Morris and settled in Gardena, California in 1960. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert, who died at an early age and by her husband of 38 years William F. Morris. They had six children. William Jr. (Carolyn)of Gardena, Ca. Patricia (Dan) of Ontario, Ca. Rick (Marsha) of Gardena, Ca. Connie (San Diego, Ca.) Janette (Roger) of La Puente, Ca. Mark (Christine) of Chino, Ca. Her Brother Leroy Jr. of Lancaster, PA. and sister Cindy Johnston of Arlington, MA. She will also be remembered and loved by three great grandchildren, eleven grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her close companion Bob Larson. She was an avid member of her local Baptist Church (Calvary Baptist Tabernacle). She loved to travel, take cruises, go shopping, good food and socializing. She was a free spirit, her smile could light up a room. She had been active in her local bowling league, loved to dance and had been an officer of the forresters for many years prior to her cancer. Her family would like to take this opportunity to thank her close friends during this illness, Christian friends, brothers and sisters and indeed the most meaningful gift of life. Viewing to be held at Green Hills Cemetery in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday the 10th. Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle 18701 South Denker Avenue Gardena, CA Wednesday the 11th at 12:30pm. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park.
