Lynda (Sapper) Guarino passed away on the morning of September 28, 2017 in Torrance, CA. She was born in San Pedro, CA to John and Roberta Banes on February 12, 1949. She grew up and attended schools in Carson, CA but loved to spend her weekends with her grandparents in San Pedro.
Lynda is remembered for being a compassionate and caring person. She especially loved animals. She often helped injured and stray animals and donated to local animal charities.
Lynda also had unconditional love for her family. She always placed her family’s happiness before her own. As a mother she sacrificed her wants to ensure her children had everything they needed. Later in life, she continued to show her generosity by spoiling her grandchildren.
Some of her favorite things included her pets, traveling, Disneyland, shopping and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Guarino; brother, Dan Banes; 3 daughters Margy, Mary, and Marlaina; 2 stepsons Frank and Michael, and 5 grandchildren Ashley, Wyatt, Wyland, Joshua, and Jensen.
As she leaves us to join both her mother and father in heaven, she will always be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Memorial Services will be held on October 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at The Old Chapel at Green Hills Mortuary located at 27501 South Western Avenue Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
