Lydia P. Gutierrez

Lydia “Pat” Gutierrez – 05/31/1935 – 07/21/2023

Pat was born and raised in Wilmington, CA and continued to live in the South Bay her entire life. She was a graduate of Banning High school, a league member at the Cove Bowl, and worked for both the Los Angeles Unified and Torrance Unified school districts. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and watching her beloved Dodgers and Lakers.

Her greatest joy in life was her children, whom she loved unconditionally and without judgement. She instilled heartfelt values and a strong sense of family in each of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Concepcion and Georgina Acebedo, sister Eva Yanez, brother Albert Acebedo and her son John Sola.

She is survived by her children Jim (Bell) Sola, Trish Sola, Jo Ann del Valle and Gina Gutierrez. Her legacy will continue through them, along with 12 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on August 9, 2023 at 11:30 am in the Main Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
