Mom, born in 1933 in Huế, attended Đồng Khánh, where she blossomed into a “công - dung - ngôn - hạnh” young lady. She then embarked on a timeless journey of marriage with our late father, kindling a flame of love that burned brightly for 63 years. Their path led them to Dalat, where they nurtured a growing family of ten precious children, crafting a home filled with laughter, warmth, and boundless love.
In 1989, fate whisked our family to Canada, yet it was the sun-kissed shores of California that became the final canvas upon which they painted their legacy in 1993. Mom proudly watched as her children matured, exchanged vows, and welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren into the world.
Mom was the heartbeat of our family; her laughter echoed through our memories, her wisdom a guiding light in times of darkness. Among her many gifts, she expressed her love most profoundly through her cooking. Her kitchen was a sanctuary where generations gathered, hearts intertwined over steaming bowls of phở or bún bò. Mom nourished not just our bodies, but our souls.
On the spring night of March 14, we bid Mom farewell as she joined our beloved father for eternity. She leaves behind ten children, thirteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Let us celebrate the remarkable life Mom lived, for her spirit lives on in every smile, touch, and act of kindness.
Mạ, we love you. Until we meet again, your memory will reside in our hearts.
