Pop was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an introvert in a sense and liked to keep to himself, but he also had a special way of talking to people and telling stories. He supported his kids and grandkids by attending sporting events and other events. He loved technology and that was one of the few things he would spend money on. He always had a camera or video recorder with him at family sporting events and gatherings. He enjoyed being in his Den- his place of solitude- while listening to the hundreds of classical and opera songs he dubbed. Pop also had a passion for knowledge- studying how to live healthy and studying languages in his free time.

Our Dad’s life journey was amazing. Born in poverty in Otavalo, Ecuador and making his way to Los Angeles, California in his late twenties. He had a successful career as a VP at Security Pacific National Bank in their coin operations department- it was cool going to see those large machines as a kid. With mom, they drove everywhere to spend time with family whether it be Hacienda Heights or San Diego. Luis Alfredo Cellery is a perfect example of what the American Dream is and what a beautiful human looks like. Rest in Peace, Dad.
