Lucille Irene Johnson left this earth on 14 January, 2024 sharing love and joy with both family and friends for over 97 years. Born on 22 April, 1926 in Cleveland Ohio, she elected to move to California at 18 for an adventure and change. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, grandmother. She also held the roles of sister, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. The one true love of her life was her husband Jacque who preceded her in death. They shared 63 happy years of marriage and she will lie beside him eternally. Lucille is survived by her daughter Robbin Johnson and son Jacque T Johnson and his wife Susan, four grandsons; one granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her love and laughter will be sorry missed by all. Lucille was primarily a homemaker for her husband and family, and worked part-time, occasionally, as a secretary in the construction business. Raised during the Depression, she was profoundly proud of her college degree, earned part-time as she was raising her family. She always said anything was possible with determination and plain hard work. Lucille enjoyed water skiing with the Sportsman Ski Club but found her true passion in dance. While she and Jacque were always beautiful ballroom dancers, Lucille found tap-dancing later in life. She was an active member of the Happy Hoofers tap-dancing troop, enjoying her friends for over 25 years and still performing live shows until turning 92. Her life was a celebration of love for her family and friends.
