Louie Eguia Vergara was born on February 11, 1955, in Coral Na Munti, Agoncillo, Batangas, Philippines. He was the first born from Victor Vergara’s marriage to Flaviana Vergara after being widowed. Louie passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 2:38pm, due to an intracranial hemorrhagic stroke.

Louie’s loving father, Victor had a total of nine children: Antonio, Pablo, Rosie, Olympio, Paulino, Nestina, Louie, Francis, and Gertrudes. Very early in his life, Louie looked up to his eldest brother Antonio, who taught him that all of his brothers and sisters are one family. He was assured that were no hard times when they work together to keep each other going, alongside one another.

In the late 1970’s, Louie moved to the United Stated with help from his father and his brother, Antonio. He was hired to work for Teledyne in July of 1980 and for the next 40 years, proved to be a hard working employee. In December of 1992, Louie earned “Employee of the Month” during the Magnetek merge. During his time at now L3 Communications, Louie made many friends among his colleagues. In February of 2020, Louie retired just as the company had merged and became L3 Harris.

Louie happily married Lucia Bella Martinez on October 19, 1986. They were together for almost 34 years. During this blissful marriage, they were blessed with two loving children, Vincent Louie, and Joshua Ryan. Louie will forever be remembered as a loving son, a dependable brother, a supportive uncle, a devoted husband, an adoring father, and a great friend.
