Louanne "Lulu" Chavanne Gilmore

Louanne "LuLu" Cecilia Chavanne Gilmore was born July 13, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana and passed away August 4, 2014 at the age of 60, surrounded by her family at her home in Torrance, CA. LuLu was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, generous sister, incredible aunt and true friend. She enjoyed life to its fullest and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her extraordinarily loving son, Ryan Adcock and dedicated daughter-in-law, Megan; father, John (Barbara) Chavanne; mother, Helen Chavanne; sisters, Suzanne Richie, Dianne (David) Field, Rosanne Chavanne, Joanne Chavanne, Marianne (Mark) Houghteling and Carolanne Chavanne; nieces and nephews, Nicolette (Joel) Lenzini, Jarrett (Laura) Olson, Christopher (Tammy) Field, Kelly (Shane) Koenig, Kali (James) Willcox and Weston Yahn, along with a long extended family of beloved great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, cats, dogs, birds, peacocks, butterflies and a turtle. Louanne graduated from Rolling Hills High School in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA in 1972. She worked for TWA, Alaska Airlines and U.S. Customs. When not at work, we would find her cooking in her kitchen or tending to her beautiful garden. LuLu had such a tremendous love for cooking - she could throw together parties making everything from appetizers and entrees, to her fabulous desserts, with little effort. Visitation is Thursday, August 14, 2014, from 3 to 8 pm at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. The Burial Service is Friday, August 15, 2014 at 2:30 pm in Green Hills Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will follow at 5 pm at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, 31501 Palos Verdes Drive W., Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Beachy, brightly colored attire requested.
