Lorraine Erickson

Lorraine Erickson, born June 7, 1924 in Los Angeles, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in Torrance at the age of 88. Lorraine grew up in Los Angeles and Huntington Park before moving to Gardena where she raised her family and lived for the past 63 years. In 1941 she wed John Erickson and they were married for 53 years before he preceded her in death in 1994. In her later years she immensely enjoyed going out to eat, visiting with family and friends, and going for long car rides. "Nana" was loved and will be greatly missed.

Lorraine is survived by her son, John Erickson III (Kathy) of Borrego Springs; daughter Rosalie Donnels of Torrance; grandson, Dennis (Stephanie) Donnels of Lakewood; granddaughter, Shanan Jackson of Stanton; granddaughter, Candi Donnels of Torrance; grandson, John (Karen) Erickson IV of Fresno; grandaughter, Jeanna (David) Erickson-Schweikert of North Fork; grandson Brian Erickson of Mission Viejo; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Corrine "Tootsie" Padilla of Whittier.

Funeral services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 Western Avenue in Rancho Palos Verdes on Monday, November 5, 2012 at 11:00 am.
