Loretta Jean Klokkevold

Loretta Jean Klokkevold, loving wife, mom and grandma passed away peacefully at her home in Torrance, California on October 28, 2018. She was 78 years old. Loretta was born on March 30, 1940 in Billings, Montana. In 1952, when she was 12 years old, she moved with her family to Inglewood, California. She met and began dating Carl Klokkevold, the love of her life, while attending First Brethren Church 64 years ago - they were 15 years old. Loretta and Carl were married on June 12, 1959 in Inglewood, California. They loved and cherished each other every day of their 59 year marriage. Loretta and Carl lived a wonderful life together. They worked very hard, raised three beautiful children and loved their four amazing grandchildren. Loretta is survived by her devoted husband Carl Klokkevold, her son Perry Klokkevold and his wife Angie, granddaughters Ashley and Brianna, her son Dana Klokkevold, granddaughter Shannon, grandson Dana Jr and her daughter Jennifer Holdsworth and her husband Tim. Loretta had a relentless desire to love, help and give to others. She was deeply loved by her family and adored by the many people whom she touched in her life. She will be missed immensely and remembered always as kind, caring and loving. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, 11:30 am at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Chapel, 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, California 90275. Reception will be held immediately following at Baycities SouthBay Church, 4915 Emerald St. Torrance, California 90503.
