Lorenzo Mata

Lorenzo Mata of San Pedro, Ca passed away on March 31, 2016 from complications of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at Green Hills Pavilion, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA on April 22, 2016 from 5:00-7:00p.m will be the flag ceremony, 7:00-9:00pm rosary and viewing. Lorenzo was born in El Paso, TX. He enlisted in the navy at the age of 19, served in the Korean War, who then came home to be a welder at Smith & Tool for 10 years. He later became a Longshoreman for many years, retired at the age of 65. Lorenzo is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Josephine Mata, sister, Maria (Oscar), and his 8 children; Rosemarie Calderon, Celia Nuno, Linda Partida, Esther (Angelina) Montoya, Rueben Gonzales, Gilbert Trejo, and Raymond Trejo. And several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces & nephews.
