Lois Lee Soto

October 8, 1932 — October 29, 2018

Lois Lee Soto, lovingly called “Loi”, passed from this life, to her eternal home, on October 29th, 2018, at the age of 86. She was born October 8th, 1932 in Thomas, Oklahoma.

Loi lived and worked in Southern California from the early 1960’s. She and her late husband, Rey Soto, owned and operated a new car dealership prior to retirement. After retirement, Lois returned to the workforce to assist other dealerships in various upper management positions, because she enjoyed it. After leaving the automotive industry, she donated her time and talents as a Board Member of International Children’s Aid Network, (ICAN), where she was instrumental in the construction of a large children’s orphanage in Soweto, South Africa, as well as serving on the Board of Angel Fire Ministries.

Lois was first and foremost, a lover and follower of Jesus Christ, as she had encountered His love for her at a very young age. Her life focus was on serving and honoring Jesus Christ with all she did. She had a passion to help children that otherwise may not be heard or helped; International Children’s Aid Network gave her the ability to pursue that passion, for God’s glory.

Lois’ passing was preceded by her late husband Rey Soto, daughter Zoe Leeta Huffman, grandsons John Huffman and Christopher Huffman, sister Mildred Humphreys and previous husband William R. Clair.
She is survived by her children, son Ray Alan Clair, daughters Irene deSoto Hyde, Karla Clair and son-in-law Jerry Huffman. Grandchildren, Matthew (Candace) Clair, Amber (Levi) Pool, Michael Clair, Hannah Clair, Eva (Skip) Lutz, Robin (Steve) Kelly, Amanda Huffman, Timothy (Ashley) Huffman. Great grandchildren, Olivia, Mario, Elijah, Daniel, Savannah, Josiah, Simon, Ryder, Taylor and Zoe. In addition, her nieces, nephews and others that called her Grandma and Mama Loi and many dear friends. Also survived by brothers Raymond Stevens, Dennis and Eddie Cole. She felt blessed to have you all.
Celebration of Lois’ life will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, November 10th, at Green Hills Mortuary, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests memorial donations, in loving memory of Lois, be made to International Children’s Aid Network ( www.icaninfo.org ). Link: https://www.gofundme.com/in-loving-memory-of-lois-soto
